Suitcase Blessings with Alleluia Lutheran Church!
Alleluia Lutheran Church is a wonderful community & missions oriented LCMS (Lutheran-Church, Missouri Synod) church located in the town of Greenleaf, Wisconsin; a farming community just south of Green Bay. At Alleluia, there are no strangers, only friends yet to be made! When you walk in the church, you are walking into a loving church family. God’s love is surely in this place! A warm welcome, hot coffee, and smiles aboud at Alleluia. In the summer, it is common to see extra produce from member’s gardens set out to share with the community. Or perhaps someone with chickens has an adbundace of eggs, you may find dozens of eggs available as well. In the fall, you may see extra pumpkins & gourds as well. Truly this is sharing God’s love, both in bounty and in spirit!
Alleluia has been very supportive in the work we do here at Jake’s Diapers. For the month of September, Alleluia hosted a suitcase drive for Jake’s Diapers. Suitcases were one of our urgent needs. The gift of suitcases allows us to transport cloth diapers and other urgently needed supplies (formula, glucose testing strips, and more) to our Diaper Drops. All of our donations are hand delivered, and the best way to deliver them is in suitcases with a one-way ticket! Due to the extreme generosity of Alleluia and the surrounding communities, we are blessed to no longer have suitcases on our Urgent Needs List! While suitcases are, and always will be, a need; we currently have an adequate supply! This is not only a relief, but a blessing as well! We are so thankful to Pastor Aaron Hutton & the Alleluia Family!
Alleluia is a young church, celebrating it’s 13th anniversary this year! This young, vibrant, congregation is growing, and is just finishing Phase II of construction; the construction of an educational wing with rooms for Sunday School and many community outreach opportunities! We are excited to partner with Alleluia in the future, stay tuned for exciting events & updates as we partner in this journey of being the hands & feet of Jesus. Blessings!
