Oh Happy Day!

There is so much to be thankful for! Today, thanks to you, we paid for a washing machine for Jubilee Home! This is a tremendous gift you have given. The ayahs (caregivers) will no longer have to hand wash laundry.

Jubilee Home is where SCH’s older girls with cognitive delays and learning and behavioral disorders live. There is e a team of special educators on-site that work with the girls to develop social skills and establish learning habits. Some of the girls rely on the support of incontinence items, and by converting to cloth hygiene items we’re providing a sustainable solution and saving precious financial resources.

Dorothy is one of the seventeen girls who call Jubilee Home home. She’s a real sweetheart, with a kind and gentle soul. She’s always smiling and laughing, and is such a joy to be around! Dorothy absolutely adores music and looks forward to her music class each day where she can play her favorite musical instrument- the maraca. Dorothy lives with cerebral palsy and an intellectual disability. She came to Sarah’s Covenant Homes on December 1st, 2011 from a government orphanage. It is hard to think of the place where Dorothy came from when you see her today. She is so full of life and love. Her smile, friendliness, and good attitude toward life are so inspiring and refreshing!

Thanks for helping Dorothy!
